In a career of 37+ years at ITC Ltd, he has held senior positions including those in the FMCG, ITES and IT businesses. In his last role, he was Chief Financial Officer, ITC Infotech India Ltd (IT Services). His expertise lies in business strategy, financial operations, taxation, corporate governance and audit. He is the ESG Lead at SoStakes.

Nandini Sinha Batra

Promoter/Director
Nandini, a finance professional, has over 20 years’ experience in the Banking and Financial Services Industry. Her experience spans senior positions with banks such as Deutsche Bank and Development Credit Bank. Her last assignment was with GE Capital Services India, where she spent more than 8 years, as their Head for South India.
She promoted SoStakes to assist Corporates and Individuals while making social spends. The primary objective is to develop a structured and investment oriented approach to social development.
She has leveraged her skills, honed in the banking and financial services industry, to develop processes which will help drive social value through project evaluation and measurement of returns on investment. In addition, drive social value by mobilizing capital for projects with impact.
During her working career she was responsible for setting up business verticals and had an extensive orientation to solution provisioning in a customer centric philosophy. Her work involved consensus building among various stakeholders thereby enabling a holistic and synergistic approach in actualizing business goals. This is also her key strength and is supplemented by systematic thinking and clarity of deliverables.
In June 2014, she submitted a well-received dissertation “Sustainability – The need for a finance company to incorporate sustainability as a part of their core activity” to the Institute of Directors. She is a qualified Cost Accountant with an Advanced Management Degree from IIM,Bangalore.

Michelle Gurung

Business Development Manager
Michelle Gurung has over 8 years of work experience in the development sector including research and advocacy, programme Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), and impact assessment. She holds a Masters degree in Public Policy and Governance from Azim Premji University, Bangalore, and Bachelors in Sociology from St.Xaviers College, Kolkata.
At SoStakes, apart from business development, she also conducts M&E and Impact Assessment of CSR projects that spans sectors – education, livelihood, and skill development. Before SoStakes, Michelle worked with Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE), Darjeeling, West Bengal to implement a conservation and livelihood programme in the forest communities of Darjeeling hills. She has led a livelihood initiative ‘Life and Leaf’ – a marketing platform for small tea farmers and local artisans. Michelle has also worked with Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), Delhi as a Right to Information advocate

Hiral

Program Associate
Hiral is a development professional with work experience in the education sector at the Azim Premji Foundation. She has been part of a curriculum development team for foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN). She has research expertise in diverse thematic areas that includes community and livelihoods. Currently, she is committed to learning and contributing positively to the CSR sector, leveraging her research skills to drive impact. She has a Bacherlor’s degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and has completed her Master’s from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru.
